Our Story

I am frequently asked, why would a man be the founder of Thriving Women Network Inc.? Honestly, I ask myself the same question, but the real answer is TWN found me. When you look at my resume, it does not scream college, tradesman or executive. If you ask my mother, she will tell you that Darryl has always been an entrepreneur. It started at the age of 6 years old when my brother and I collected coke bottle from garbage cans in Chicago and took them to the corner store to get the 5-cent deposit. I eventually graduated to shelving snow, raking leaf’s, home repair, making furniture, tile installing, owning a Salon & Day Spa, starting a financial coaching business, you get the point. I retired from working for an employer at 25 years old. In the process of seeking financial freedom and independence, I found my passion for mentoring and coaching. Nevertheless, the more I studied successful people the more I realized that most successful entrepreneurs find solutions to people’s problems.

My moment of clarity came during the pandemic in 2019, when I had time to reflect on my next business move. I was already providing business coaching for entrepreneurs called the Spartan Leadership Academy. Nevertheless, it was not profitable and was not reaching enough people. So, I decided to change the name to Thriving Women Network to broaden our reach and it worked. We were streaming live on internet radio, and it attracted women that were passionate about empowering people.

The reason I say that Thriving Women Network found me is because I have a vision and mission to enlighten, encourage and empower women for growth and success and I share that mission with everyone I meet, and they become our stakeholders.

I am honored to be a co-host on “Children’s Lives Matter” and “Thriving Women Talk”. When I was asked to co-host Children’s Lives Matter” by the shows Producer, Angela Legh, I felt privileged by the invitation. Being a coach working with parents and their children, I saw this as a perfect venue to promote that children’s lives DO matter. The show has been so rewarding as we deliver positive messages and instruction on how parents can enhance their relationship with thier children. When I was asked to also co-host Thriving Women Talk, it gave me an opportunity to be a part of women empowerment through a myriad of topics germane to women. My co-host are absolutely a delight and experts in their fields. The TWN University is a great way to “get your foot in the door” that will lead to so much more. I am excited to be affiliated with Thriving Women Network. I am looking forward to growth and expansion personally and professionally. Thank you Angela for this great opportunity. Thank you Thriving Women Network for choosing me!

Are you led by opportunity, by intuition, by love? I joined the Thriving Women Network initially as a Co-Host on the show Children’s Lives Matter, invited by the show’s Producer, Angela Legh. Being invited by such an amazing and inspirational thought leader as Angela, made me want to say yes immediately. What I found was an organization that is dedicated to enlightening, encouraging and empowering women at all levels of personal and professional development, and an array of programming to entertain, educate and improve lives. As the Director of Publicity and Publishing with Top Talent Agency (toptagency.com), I know the power of spreading messages and gaining influence, credibility and exposure via platforms such as media and TV. I believe in attracting the people we are meant to serve in all endeavors, and I believe in the power of our ability to turn the tide of fear and complacency to empowerment and positive change. We need more strong women leaders who are willing to step up for the betterment of our societies, to meet people wherever they are at with positivity and love, and to open paths towards growth and enhanced success, no matter what that looks like to each individual. The talent and heart of the TWN team creates a welcoming and energetic environment. I am impressed by the mission and vision of the organization and am humbled by the opportunity to lead as the new COO of the Thriving Women TV Network. I invite women who need a platform for their powerful messages to consider joining us. This organization will continue to thrive and grow as we honor our mission and vision and move into this phase of providing franchise opportunities.

Today, I had the pleasure of participating in a discussion with Uncomfortable Conversations, exploring the often-avoided topic of death and dying.  These conversations may be difficult to start, but it’s important to push through the discomfort for personal growth.

The show began by addressing the uncomfortable nature of discussing both racism and death with children. Discussing death with children in a way that is age-appropriate is the key to making everyone more comfortable with the subject.

Embracing these uncomfortable discussions helps us appreciate every moment and identify what truly matters to us. Be sure to watch the full episode to learn more about how you can have the conversation with your loved ones.

I was a guest speaker on the “Inside the Mind of an Unloved Child” show and it was so powerful profound. Every piece of information provided was the absolute truth and I believe parents and teachers all over the world should watch this show to get educated on this matter. I grew up feeling UNLOVED and unwanted and know how damaging that can be to a child which is why I wrote my life changing book titled “Unloved” and why I dedicate my life to building up our children and empowering women all over the world.

If you are a teacher or parent I ask you to do your part in spreading awareness and sharing hope by sharing this episode with everyone you know ❤️

If we all do a little together we can do a lot!

Love always,
Megan Lis Felix
